In 2017, after 55 years operating as a grower owned co-operative, Namoi Cotton completed a corporate restructure to become Namoi Cotton Limited, a fully ASX listed public company.
Namoi Cotton is more than a ginner. Our business spans fibre, feed, supply chain and marketing, with ginning being at the core. Our Vision and Mission of being the leading Australian cotton agribusiness is achieved by independently linking growers to global markets. Namoi Cotton achieves this through an integrated ginning and warehouse network based in NSW and QLD and a permanent employee base of 150 people.
Namoi Cotton has 11 operational cotton gins located from Goondiwindi, QLD through to Hillston, NSW. These gins are capable of processing 84,000 cotton bales per week.
The cotton seed trading business is underpinned by approximately 90,000 Mt of shed storage.
The NCA joint venture operates 3 warehouse facilities at Goondiwindi, QLD, Wee Waa, NSW and Warren, NSW with a combined static storage capacity of 0.5m bales. NCA also operates a grain packing operation with 275,000 Mt of capacity underpinned by bunker storage of 145,000 Mt and 4,300 Mt of silo storage.
A new joint venture, Namoi Cotton Marketing Alliance (NCMA) in which Namoi Cotton owns a 15% share, has assumed the trading and marketing lint cotton business from NCA.
The Namoi Cotton business is operated by its experienced and dedicated staff who, by being based within rural communities, align themselves with the needs of Australia’s cotton growers.
Namoi Cotton is the renowned industry leader in achieving processing efficiencies through ginning technology, research and development and in-house servicing teams. Through NCMA, Namoi Cotton is also well regarded in international markets for the provision of high quality Australian cotton.
